Iosif Tiba, parohul comunit\u0103\u021bii Sf\u00e2ntul Francisc de Assisi din Bucure\u0219ti, membrii comunit\u0103\u021bii catolice srilankeze din Bucure\u0219ti, p\u0103storita de Pr. Claude Perrera, au avut ocazia de a celebra bucuria Na\u0219terii Domnului \u00een aceast\u0103 biseric\u0103 situat\u0103 \u00een partea de vest a Capitalei. Astfel, \u00een ziua de 24 decembrie, la ora 16.00, biserica parohiei Sf\u00e2ntul Francisc de Assisi a r\u0103sunat de c\u00e2ntecele \u0219i rug\u0103ciunile celor aproape 200 de credincio\u0219i srilankezi veni\u021bi din toate col\u021burile ora\u0219ului, \u0219i nu numai, pentru a putea participa la Sf\u00e2nta Liturghie prezidat\u0103 de Pr. Claude, care este \u0219i capelanul comunit\u0103\u021bii srilankeze, pus\u0103 sub patronajul Sf\u00e2ntului Anton de Padova.<\/p>\n
Cei prezen\u021bi au admirat frumuse\u021bea l\u0103ca\u0219ului sacru, iar Sf\u00e2nta Liturghie, preg\u0103tit\u0103 \u0219i animat\u0103 cu mult\u0103 bucurie \u0219i \u00eensufle\u021bire de cei prezen\u021bi, a fost cu adev\u0103rat o celebrare a Cuv\u00e2ntului \u00eentrupat \u0219i venit \u00een mijlocul nostru pentru a aduce vestea cea bun\u0103 a m\u00e2ntuirii \u0219i a iubirii lui Dumnezeu pentru noi to\u021bi, indiferent de limba pe care o vorbe\u0219te sau poporul din care face parte.<\/p>\n

De\u0219i se afl\u0103 departe de patria lor, de familiile lor \u0219i trebuie s\u0103 \u00eenfrunte greut\u0103\u021bile inerente condi\u021biei de emigran\u021bi, catolicii srilankezi au devenit rapid o comunitate unit\u0103 \u0219i remarcat\u0103 \u00een Bucure\u0219ti, \u00een mare majoritatea lor fiind tineri. Vorbind cu unii dintre ace\u0219tia \u00eenaintea Sfintei Liturghii, am \u00een\u021beles c\u0103 cei mai mul\u021bi v\u0103d deja \u00een \u021bara noastr\u0103 o a doua patrie, \u00een care sper\u0103 s\u0103-\u0219i aduc\u0103, la un moment dat, \u0219i familile r\u0103mase \u00een Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Cr\u0103ciunul petrecut c\u00e2teva ceasuri, \u00een dup\u0103-amiaza zilei de 24 decembrie, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu aceast\u0103 familie de credin\u021b\u0103, foarte recent constituit\u0103 pastoral \u00een Arhidieceza de Bucure\u0219ti, mi-a vorbit nu numai despre universalitatea aceleia\u0219i credin\u021be pe care o \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u0219im, ci mi-a permis s\u0103 cunosc ceva mai bine din bucuriile \u0219i speran\u021bele reale ale acestor oameni, care ofer\u0103 un optimism molipsitor, \u00eenso\u021bit de un z\u00e2mbet sincer. \u00cen persoana lui Cristos devenim to\u021bi fra\u021bi \u0219i fii ai aceluia\u0219i Tat\u0103, iar Sf\u00e2nta Liturghie ne-a reunit pe to\u021bi, ca o familie frumoas\u0103, \u00een jurul Mielului care se d\u0103ruie\u0219te tuturor \u0219i care ne cheam\u0103 pe to\u021bi la m\u00e2ntuire.<\/p>\n
Pr. Andrei Dumitrescu<\/strong><\/p>\n Thanks to the kindness and availability of Fr. Iosif Tiba, parish priest of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bucharest, members of the Sri Lankan Catholic community in Bucharest, led by Fr. Claude Perrera, had the opportunity to celebrate the joy of the Nativity of the Lord in this church located in the western part of the Capital city. Thus, on December 24, at 4:00 p.m., the church of the parish of St. Francis of Assisi resounded with the songs and prayers of nearly 200 Sri Lankan faithful who came from all corners of the city and beyond, to participate in the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Claude, who is also the chaplain of the Sri Lankan community, placed under the patronage of St. Anthony of Padua. Those present admired the beauty of the sacred place, and the Holy Mass, prepared and animated with great joy and enthusiasm by those present, was truly a celebration of the Word incarnate who came among us to bring the good news of salvation and God’s love for all of us, regardless of the language we speak or the people we belong to.<\/p>\n Although they are far from their homeland and their families and must face the difficulties inherent in being immigrants, Sri Lankan Catholics have quickly become a united and prominent community in Bucharest, the vast majority of them being young people. Speaking with some of them before Holy Mass, I understood that most already see our country as a second homeland, to which they hope to bring their families remaining in Sri Lanka sometime in the future.<\/p>\n This Christmas, when we spent a few hours on the afternoon of December 24, together with this family of faith, very recently established pastorally in the Archdiocese of Bucharest, spoke to me not only about the universality of the same faith we share, but also allowed me to learn a little more about the real joys and hopes of these people, who offer contagious optimism, accompanied by a sincere smile. In the person of Christ, we all become brothers and sons of the same Father, and the Holy Liturgy brought us all together, like a beautiful family, around the Lamb who gives himself to all and calls us all to salvation.<\/p>\n Fr.
